Is WaveSnip truly offline?
Yes. Video and audio editing happens entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. The app collects anonymous usage analytics (Firebase) to understand feature usage — your content is never involved. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Why do I get only 2 free exports?
WaveSnip is built by an independent team with no ads and no watermarks. We keep the app sustainable through optional Pro subscriptions. Free users can fully evaluate the app with 2 complete exports — upgrade to Pro for unlimited.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → WaveSnip → Cancel. You can also access this from within WaveSnip via Settings → Manage Subscription.
Apple handles cancellation — we have no control over billing on our end.
I paid but don't see Pro features. What do I do?
Open WaveSnip → Settings → Restore Purchases. This re-validates your account with Apple's servers. If the issue persists, email us with your Apple ID purchase date and we'll help.
How do I get a refund?
All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't have access to your payment information and cannot issue refunds directly.
Can I use WaveSnip on iPad?
Yes. WaveSnip runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later.
What video formats / lengths are supported?
Videos up to 15 minutes at 1080p. Most common formats (MP4, MOV, HEVC) work. For trim-only edits, export uses passthrough — no re-encoding, zero quality loss.
Can I use my own music?
Yes. You can import audio files (MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF) from Files. You can also extract audio from another video in your gallery. Make sure you have the right to use any music you add — we don't provide licensed music.
How does the silence cutter work?
We analyze the audio RMS (root-mean-square) level against a threshold you control (default: -40 dB). Any region quieter than the threshold and longer than your minimum duration (default: 0.5s) is flagged as silence. You review and confirm before anything is removed.
Which languages are supported?
English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish. Change language in Settings.
I lost my project. Can you recover it?
WaveSnip autosaves your project state every 1.5 seconds locally. Since everything is on your device, if you deleted the app, the data is also gone. We cannot recover content from our servers because we don't have servers storing your content.
Is there an Android version?
Not at this time. WaveSnip is iOS-only.
