These terms govern your use of the PDF Tools iOS app, published by alpdigital. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the app.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use PDF Tools on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Standard EULA for App Store apps. This licence does not let you redistribute, reverse-engineer, or sublicense the app.

2. Plus purchase

"Plus" is a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase. Once bought, it is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed in with that Apple ID via the "Restore Purchases" action in Profile.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policy. We don't have direct access to your payment.

3. What PDF Tools does

PDF Tools processes PDF documents on your device. It does not upload them. It does not modify them in place — it produces new output files you can save or share.

Operations include merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, remove password (only for passwords you already know — the app does not crack PDFs), extract text, and convert to Word (.docx).

4. What PDF Tools doesn't do

• It cannot decrypt PDFs whose password you do not know.
• It does not perform OCR on scanned, image-only PDFs (planned for v1.1).
• The Word export preserves text content, paragraph structure, headings, and bullet lists. Complex layouts (multi-column, tables, embedded images) may need manual adjustment after export.
• Compression cannot reduce a PDF below the size of its constituent images at the chosen quality level. For documents that are already optimised, output may be similar in size to input.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the legality of the PDFs you process. PDF Tools is a general-purpose utility; using it to bypass copyright, licence terms, or applicable law is not permitted by these terms.

6. Disclaimers

PDF Tools is provided "as is". We do our best to ship a stable, correct app and we test extensively, but we do not warrant that operations will always preserve every visual detail of arbitrary input PDFs. Always keep a copy of your originals.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, alpdigital is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Plus purchase (if any).

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The current version is always at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Istanbul.
