Please read carefully. By downloading or using MealSwipe you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.

1 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Alpdigital / MealSwipe ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the MealSwipe: Recipe Finder iOS application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that:

You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country).
You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
You accept our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2 License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, personal licence to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

This licence does not include the right to:

Sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or commercially exploit the App.
Modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works.
Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the App.
Use the App to develop a competing product or service.

3 Premium Subscriptions & Purchases

MealSwipe offers optional premium features through In-App Purchases ("IAP") processed by Apple's App Store.

3.1 Plans & Pricing
Premium plans (Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime) and their prices are displayed within the App. Prices are in your App Store region's local currency.

3.2 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Your Apple ID account is charged within 24 hours prior to renewal.

3.3 Free Tier
The App is free to download. Free users receive limited daily swipe sessions and Pantry searches. We reserve the right to modify free-tier limits at any time.

3.4 No Refunds
All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple.

3.5 Restore Purchases
Use the "Restore Purchases" feature after reinstalling or switching devices. You must use the same Apple ID as the original purchase.

3.6 Cancellation
Cancel anytime through your Apple ID account settings. Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.

4 Apple as Distributor — EULA

MealSwipe is distributed through the Apple App Store. The following terms apply as required by Apple:

These Terms are between you and MealSwipe only — not Apple, Inc. Apple is not responsible for MealSwipe or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for MealSwipe.
In the event of a warranty failure, you may notify Apple; Apple may refund the purchase price. Apple has no further warranty obligation.
Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App or your use of it.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

5 Allergen & Food Safety Disclaimer ⚠️

⚠️ CRITICAL ALLERGEN WARNING — READ BEFORE USE

MealSwipe provides allergen information (such as gluten, dairy, nuts, eggs, soy, shellfish, etc.) for general reference purposes only. This information:

Is based on the recipe's listed ingredients and may not be complete or accurate for all ingredient brands or formulations.
Does not account for cross-contamination risks that may occur during food manufacturing, processing, or preparation.
Does not reflect ingredient substitutions you or a third party may make when preparing the recipe.
May contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.
Is not a substitute for reading product labels and consulting qualified professionals.

IF YOU HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY OR INTOLERANCE: You must independently verify every ingredient in every recipe before preparation or consumption. Always read the labels of all food products you use. When in doubt, do not prepare or consume the recipe. Consult a qualified healthcare provider or registered allergist for personalised advice.

MealSwipe and Alpdigital expressly disclaim all liability for any allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, food-related illness, injury, or death resulting from the preparation, modification, or consumption of any recipe or ingredient information presented in the App, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

By using MealSwipe, you acknowledge that you assume full and sole responsibility for verifying the safety of all recipes and ingredients for yourself and any person for whom you are preparing food.

6 Recipe Content & Nutritional Information

Important. Nutritional data, macro calculations, calorie counts, and cooking times provided in MealSwipe are estimates for general informational purposes only. Actual values vary based on ingredient brands, quantities, preparation methods, and equipment.

MealSwipe makes no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any recipe or nutritional information for any specific dietary need or health condition.
Recipe content is provided as inspiration for home cooking. Results may vary.
Cooking times and temperatures are guidelines only. Always ensure food is cooked to safe internal temperatures per your local food safety authority.
We are not liable for any adverse outcomes — including food-borne illness, burns, injuries, or property damage — resulting from following recipes in the App.

7 Medical & Dietary Advice Disclaimer

NOT MEDICAL ADVICE. MealSwipe is not a medical device, clinical tool, or health service. Nothing in the App constitutes medical advice, dietary therapy, clinical nutrition guidance, or a recommendation to alter any medical treatment or medication.

The App should not be used to:

Diagnose or treat any medical condition, disease, or disorder.
Manage or monitor any clinical diet prescribed by a physician or dietitian.
Make decisions about allergen exposure for individuals with diagnosed allergies or intolerances.
Replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional, registered dietitian, or allergist.

If you have a medical condition, food allergy, eating disorder, or specific nutritional needs, please consult a qualified healthcare provider before using recipe information from this App.

MealSwipe expressly disclaims all liability for any health consequences arising from reliance on the App's content for medical or clinical purposes.

8 Permitted Use

MealSwipe is designed for personal, non-commercial recipe discovery. You may use the App to:

Discover and browse recipes for personal meal planning.
Save, rate, and track recipes you have cooked.
Configure dietary preferences for personalised results.
Share your Flavor DNA profile (Premium) as a static image for personal social sharing.

9 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its underlying systems.
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract recipe content from the App.
Reproduce, publish, or commercially distribute App content without prior written permission.
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App.
Attempt to reverse-engineer the App or extract source code.
Misrepresent that recipe content from MealSwipe constitutes professional dietary or medical advice.

10 Intellectual Property

All content within the App — including app design, UI elements, logos, recipe text, question content, Flavor DNA algorithm, and brand assets — is owned by or licensed to Alpdigital / MealSwipe and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any App content without express written permission.

The "MealSwipe" name and logo are trademarks of Alpdigital. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks.

11 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RECIPE CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR INDIVIDUAL. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT FULLY APPLY TO YOU.

12 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALPDIGITAL / MEALSWIPE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE; LOSS OF DATA OR GOODWILL; PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE; ALLERGIC REACTIONS, ANAPHYLAXIS, FOOD-BORNE ILLNESS, OR ANY HEALTH-RELATED OUTCOME; DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP; DAMAGES RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON ANY RECIPE, NUTRITIONAL, OR ALLERGEN INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE APP; OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT WILL MEALSWIPE'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $10.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

13 Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alpdigital / MealSwipe and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:

Your use of or inability to use the App.
Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation.
Your preparation, modification, or consumption of any recipe found in the App.
Any allergic reaction, food-related illness, or injury arising from recipes used from the App.
Your violation of any third party's rights.
Any claim by a third party resulting from food you prepared using the App.

14 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as required by Apple's refund policy or applicable law.

Sections 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 15 survive termination of these Terms.

15 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide greater protections, in which case those protections also apply.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Istanbul, Turkey, or at our election, to binding arbitration.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.

16 General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MealSwipe regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or internet service disruptions.
